Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you type a name, a date of birth, or a case number into a search box on this site, that input travels directly to the outside provider that runs the search. The provider processes the request and returns whatever it finds. We do not keep or log those search terms on our side.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we keep the message so we can write back. It stays with our team and is not shared outside the organization unless the law requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page loads, our servers record basic technical details about the visit:
- The IP address your device is using
- The browser you are on and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- Which pages you opened and how long each one stayed on screen
- The site that referred you, when there was one
- The time each page was viewed
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files your device stores so we can see how visitors move around, which pages draw the most traffic, and where people leave. Analytics services help us group that information. Your browser settings let you refuse cookies, though parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping pages loading quickly and the site available
- Passing your search request to the partner that handles it
- Learning which pages help readers and which need work
- Finding and fixing technical problems
- Serving advertising that may match your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, assemble, maintain, or sell any database of warrants or warrant records. What we publish is general guidance about where Osceola County warrant records are held and how to check them through the 77th District Court, the 49th Circuit Court, the Osceola County Clerk, and the county sheriff. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is turned into a consumer report about anyone.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search boxes on this site are run by outside companies. Whatever you type into one of those tools is handled under that company's privacy policy instead of this one. Those partners set their own retention and sharing rules, and we have no control over them. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to court pages, the sheriff's office, state agencies, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Following one of those links takes you off this site, and that site's privacy policy then governs your visit. Read it before sharing personal details.
Some advertising partners may track activity across sites in order to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems rather than ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information can reach:
- Search partners that process queries you run here
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place advertising on our pages
- Courts, law enforcement, or other government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We apply standard security practices to the information we hold. No internet service can promise perfect protection, and we cannot guarantee that a breach will never happen, but we take reasonable steps to reduce the risk.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Michigan law, including the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, 1976 PA 442, MCL 15.231 to 15.246, governs access to records that public bodies hold. This site is not a public body, and we hold no warrant records, but we will honor a reasonable request about the limited data we do have. You can ask us to:
- Provide a copy of what we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your data
- Stop a particular use of your data
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change as the site changes. When it does, the revised version appears on this page under a new effective date, and the rules in the posted version apply.
